How your information is handled.
This page describes what Plumb collects when you submit the inquiry form, why, who it is shared with, and how long it is kept. It is written in plain language rather than as a legal document.
Effective September 16, 2026
Only what you choose to send, plus what keeps the form honest.
Plumb collects information in two ways: what you type into the inquiry form, and a small amount of technical information gathered automatically to keep that form from being abused.
Submitted voluntarily. Name, email address, organization, role, the category and timing you select for the inquiry, and the message you write. Organization, role, category, and timing are optional; the rest is needed to reply to you.
Collected automatically. General browser type, an approximate country derived from your connection, and a one-way hashed identifier used only to detect and limit repeated automated submissions from the same source. That identifier is generated from your connection information combined with a private value Plumb controls; it cannot be reversed back into an IP address or used to identify you personally, and it is not linked to any other tracking.
To reply, and to keep the record straight.
What you submit is used to:
- Read and reply to your inquiry, and evaluate whether Plumb is a good fit for the situation you describe.
- Detect and rate-limit automated or abusive submissions, using the technical information described above.
- Keep an appropriate business record of inquiries received, consistent with the retention approach below.
Information submitted through the form is not used for advertising, and is not combined with any other profile Plumb might hold about you.
No advertising cookies are set.
This site does not currently use advertising cookies or behavioral-advertising tracking of any kind, and there is no cookie consent banner because there is nothing nonessential to consent to. If that changes, this page will be updated first.
As long as reasonably needed, no longer.
Inquiry records are kept only as long as reasonably needed to follow up with you, maintain an appropriate business record, protect the form against abuse, and meet any legal or accounting obligation that applies. There is no fixed schedule beyond that judgment.
